TERMS OF USE FOR THE ONLINE LIFETIME CALCULATION TOOL  

The use of the online lifetime calculation tool - hereinafter referred to as OLC - requires a registration and login with which you simultaneously agree to these terms of use. By agreeing to these terms of use, a free usage agreement is effective between your company and AIC Europe GmbH - hereinafter referred to as AIC.

These Terms of Use apply for the duration of use of the OLC by registered users. AIC reserves the right to modify the content of these Terms of Use at any time. In this case, AIC will inform the registered users separately about the changes and their effectiveness.  

PURPOSE OF THE ONLINE LIFETIME CALCULATION TOOL

The OLC calculates the expected lifetime of HITACHI AIC brand aluminum electrolytic capacitors according to all operating conditions input by the user in the OLC.

The results and information in the OLC do not replace the calculations and explanations as well as the written statements of AIC for the selection of suitable products for electronic applications , and do not represent any guarantee by AIC in the legal sense, but serve the user exclusively as an informative and non-binding estimate of the possible life span.

The OLC also offers the user the possibility to save the entered data of the operating conditions and the results of the calculations under his login for later retrieval or reuse.  

USE AND AUTHORIZATION

The use of the OLC for your personal use is free of charge and at your own risk. The security of the data entered cannot be guaranteed 100% due to the Internet data transfer.

Twenty four hour usage is possible. A support hotline is not provided. Users of course have the opportunity to direct their questions to the AIC sales team by e-mail.

However, AIC reserves the right to temporarily interrupt the operation of the OLC periodically for maintenance work without prior notice and to make changes and updates to the specifications and scope of the products at any time in accordance with the latest manufacturer information in the OLC. The results of previous saved calculations can be influenced by this. AIC declines any liability for this.

The commercial re-use of the OLC and its use for purposes that are illegal at the time of use is prohibited.

All intellectual property rights to the OLC are exclusively owned by AIC Europe GmbH.    

Data privacy

AIC stores data of users of the OLC in accordance with the new Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO). All information concerning data protection can be found in a separate declaration on our website.  

TERMINATION OF OLC AND TERMINATION OF USE

AIC is entitled at any time and without further notice to partially or completely discontinue the operation of the OLC.

AIC is entitled to terminate the user contract with immediate effect to any user and without giving reasons. This is done by sending an informal email to the user.

Users also have the right to object to this user agreement in writing to AIC at any time and with immediate effect.

In both cases AIC will immediately and irrevocably delete the user's access data and all data recorded by the user.  

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY and LIABILITY

The use of the OLC is at your own risk. AIC does not guarantee the correct and safe use of the OLC and excludes any liability for direct or indirect consequential damages and losses incurred by the user from the use of the OLC, or for customer decisions and product selection made on the basis of the calculation results provided by the OLC.

AIC also excludes any liability for damages and losses incurred by the user from the unavailability or loss of data due to malfunctions or closure of the OLC.

AIC recommends all users to save the data entered in the OLC locally and in any form to prevent loss of information.
